City workers and officials have been working during recent days to help prepare the city for a homecoming event planned for Catherine Crosby.
Crosby, who was recently crowned Miss Alabama, will be coming home Friday to make her first public appearance in her hometown since taking the title.
A reception in her honor has been planned to begin at 4 p.m. in downtown Brewton at The Ritz.
The event is free to the public and will be an excellent opportunity for photos and autographs. Refreshments will be served at the event.
Crosby was Escambia County's Junior Miss in 1998. She was a speaker with the Party Manners class at Jefferson Davis Community Collge.
