Catherine is already in Atlantic City. She participated and was chosen as one of eight finalists in the Quality of Life Awards in Washington D.C. this week. The winner, who will receive $6,000, will be announced on Wednesday. Ann Crosby, Catherine's mother, has provided an address for those who would like to get in touch with Catherine and wish her well. She can be reached at Catherine Crosby, Miss Alabama, Resorts Casino Hotel, 1133 Boardwalk and North Carolina Avenue, Room 334, Atlantic City, N.J. 08401. You can read all about the pageant and the contestants at the website, www.missamerica.org.
Catherine is a graduate of T.R. Miller High School and Auburn University. Her platform is First Vote: America's Freedom to Choose. She hopes to obtain a master's degree in business administration and a juris doctorate degree with the dream of someday holding a federal judgeship.
The contestants are split into three groups and Crosby is in the Sigma group. She will have a private interview and swimsuit competition on Tuesday, talent on Wednesday and casual and evening wear on Thursday. The final competition will be held Saturday, September 20, at 7 p.m. our time.
