Mrs. Olene Gail Scroggins, 69, died Monday, Jan. 12, 2009, in a local hospital. She was a native and lifelong resident of Escambia County, was a homemaker and of the Baptist faith.
She is survived by her husband, Lawson Scroggins of East Brewton; five sons, Tim (Marie) Scroggins, Bill Scroggins, David Scroggins, and Andy Scroggins, all of Brewton, and Randy (Lisa) Scroggins of Charleston, W.Va.; a brother, Lavon Fuqua of Brewton; two sisters, Betty Hobbs of Gulf Shores and Linda Fuqua of Atlanta, Ga.; nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, Jan. 14, from 6 to 9 p.m. at Craver's Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, Jan. 15, at 2 p.m. at the chapel of Craver's Funeral Home with the Rev. Billy Ray Singleton officiating. Burial will follow at Fort Crawford Cemetery with Craver's Funeral Home directing.
