Mrs. Johnnie Ruth Holloway Grice, 69, of Travis Road, died Tuesday, Nov. 19, 2002 in a local hospital after an extended illness. She was a native of Luverne and a long time resident of Escambia County. She was a member of the Anchor Baptist Church and a homemaker. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harvey Grice and a granddaughter, April Anne Grice.
She is survived by a son, James Grice of Brewton; a step-daughter, Barbara Williams of Milton, Fla.; one brother, Charles Holloway of East Brewton; two sisters, Opal Paul of Mobile and Betty Anthony of Pensacola, Fla.; one grandson and one great-granddaughter.
Funeral services were held Friday, Nov. 22, at 11 a.m. at Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home with Rev. Don Cox, Rev. Thomas Quick and Rev. Claude Collins officiating. Burial followed at Fort Crawford Cemetery in East Brewton with Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home directing.
