Mrs. Isabelle Overstreet Durden, 88, died Monday, March 31, 2003 at a local nursing facility after an extended illness. She was a native of Rome, Ala. and a lifelong resident of Brewton. She was a retired school teacher and of the Baptist faith.
She is survived by one son, Steve Durden of Brewton; three daughters, Clementine Martin and Betty Woods, both of Brewton and Bobbie Cardwell of Castleberry; two brothers, Willie Overstreet of Pace, Fla. and Johnney Overstreet of Molino, Fla.; one sister, Linda Thompson of Brewton; 12 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, April 2, 2003 at 11 a.m. at Williams Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Michael King and Rev. Roberts Peters officiating. Burial will follow at Catawba Springs Cemetery with Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home directing.
