An Atmore man died at Baptist Hospital in Pensacola on Saturday as a result of an accident in Alco on Friday afternoon.
Benito Juarez, 18, of 704 Sunset Drive in Atmore, was lifeflighted from D.W. McMillan Memorial Hospital in Brewton after sustaining injuries on College Street.
Officials with the Brewton Police Department said a witness to the accident saw Juarez either fall or jump from his 1993 Ford Aerostar van and land on the pavement. Police said Juarez was not responding upon their arrival.
Police said the accident is still under investigation.
