Mr. Burton Odom Sr. died Friday, July 18, 2003 at a local hospital after an extended illness. He was a native and long-time resident of Escambia County, Ala. He was a retired pipe-fitter and was a member of Liberty Baptist Church.
He is survived by two sons, Burton Odom Jr. and Shane Odom, both of Brewton; one daughter, Tammy Hill of Brewton; six brothers, Earnest Lee Odom of Brewton, Johnny Odom of Mobile, Billy Odom and Autrey Odom, both of Atlanta, James Odom of Flomaton and Ronnie Odom of Birmingham, five sisters, Sally Roache and Charlotte Odom, both of Biloxi, Miss., Deloris Rawls of Atmore, Erma Jean Wescott of Panama City, Fla. and Shirley Agate of Mobile; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Sunday, July 20, at 4 p.m. at Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home with Brother Tony Richburg officiating. Burial will follow at Pineview Cemetery with Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home directing.
