Mrs. Kathleen J. Chavers, 86, died Thursday, July 17, 2003 at a Jay, Fla. hospital after an extended illness. She was a native and life-long resident of Escambia County and was retired from T.R. Miller Mill Box Factory. She was a member of the Catawba Springs Baptist Church and of R.S.V.P.
She is survived by a son, Sonny Chavers of Brewton; two daughters, Sarah Eiland and Jean Freeman, both of Brewton; nine grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson.
Funeral services will be held Sunday, July 20, at 2 p.m. at Williams Memorial Funeral Home with Rev. Steven Yuhasz and Rev. Bert Bounds officiating. Burial will follow at Catawba Springs Cemetery with Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home directing.
