Mr. Albert Clayton "A.C." Crawford, 78, died Monday, Aug. 18, 2003 at his residence. He was a native of Conecuh County and had lived most of his life in the Brewton area. He was a veteran of World War II, having served in the U.S. Navy. He retired from Borden Dairy after 28 years of service and attended South Bethel Church of God. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ruth Crawford.
He is survived by a son, Dan Crawford of Wylie, Texas; a daughter, Wanda Godwin of Tallassee, Ala.; a brother, Millard Crawford of Montgomery; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral services were held Thursday, Aug. 21, at 11 a.m. at the chapel of Craver's Funeral Home with Rev. Phillip Pettis officiating. Burial followed at Catawba Cemetery with Craver's Funeral Home directing. Pallbearers were Noah Crawford, Todd Godwin, Jason Price, Rondall Howell, Wade Crutchfield and Tim Howell.
