The Escambia County Historical Society needs help to locate former members of the Civilian Conservation Corps, commonly called the CCC.
The CCC was part of FDR's New Deal during the Great Depression and there was a CCC camp at Brewton.
If anyone knows of someone who was in the CCC, please call 867-2445 and leave a name and phone number.
The Escambia County Historical Society has planned for a visiting speaker to talk about the CCC at the Sept. 23, 2003 meeting at 3 p.m. at the Thomas E. McMillan Museum, located in the Fine Arts Center at JDCC.
