Mr. Marvin Lewis Peoples, 51, died Saturday, Sept. 20, 2003 in a Washington D.C. hospital. He was a native of St. Lewis, Mo. and a resident of Washington D.C. for many years. He was a retired commercial truck driver and had served in the U.S. Army.
He is survived by his mother, Annie L. Johnson of Atmore; his father, Jessie B. Peoples of St. Lewis; a daughter, Jacquetta Peoples of St. Lewis; a son, Antoine L. Peoples of St. Lewis and three sisters, Pam Peoples, Sheila Peoples and Rita Peoples, all of St. Lewis and four granddaughters.
Funeral services were held Saturday, Sept. 27, at 11 a.m. at Zion Star AME Zion Church in Atmore with Rev. S. Mason officiating. Burial followed at Fairview Cemetery with Turner Funeral Chapel directing.
