Mrs. Sylvia Ann Riley, 41, died Saturday, Jan. 10, 2004 at her residence in Atmore. She was a native of Brooklyn, N.Y. and a resident of Atmore for many years. She was a member of Mt. Gilead Baptist Church in Freemanville and was a homemaker. She was preceded in death by her grandmother, Alice Rivers; her father, Peter Guzman and a grandson, Manuel Cintron Jr.
She is survived by her husband, Claude L. Riley of Atmore; a daughter, Mia Shari Riley of Atmore; two step-daughters, Crystal Riley of Atmore and Kimberly Williams of Los Angeles, Calif.; three sons, Manuel C. Cintron and Michael J. Guzman both of Brooklyn and Claudero Nakeen Riley of Atmore; four sisters, Alice Nazan, Lillian Muniz, Rosie Ross and Annette Perez, all of Brooklyn and two brothers, Peter Guzman Jr. and Angel Cordero, both of Brooklyn.
Visitation will be Wednesday, Jan. 14, from 1 until 8:30 p.m. at Turner Funeral Chapel.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, Jan. 15, at 11 a.m. at Mt. Gilead Baptist Church with Rev. Alfonzia Williams officiating. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery with Turner Funeral Chapel directing.
