Mrs. Inez Odom Hammond, 65, died Tuesday, Feb. 17, 2004 in Jay. She was a native of Century and spent most of her life there. She attended the Tabernacle Baptist Church.
She is survived by five sons, Randal Hammond and Richard Hammond, both of Century, William Hammond and Michael Hammond, both of Riverside, Calif. and Wade Hammond of Burlington, N.J.; three brothers, Billy Odom of Century, Rev. Doug Odom of Atmore and Roy Odom of Flomaton; two sisters, Irene Cash and Carolyn Stacey, both of Century; 14 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Thursday, Feb. 19, at 2 p.m. at the Eastside Chapel Funeral Home with Rev. Jerry Keese and Rev. Billy Cloud officiating. Burial followed at McCurdy Cemetery. Pallbearers were Ray Hammond, Buzzy Odom, Keith Odom, Greg Qualls, Kenny Hammac and Greg Odom.
