JDCC Foundation plans Spring Tour of Homes

The Jefferson Davis Community College Foundation will present Art and Architecture, Brewton's Spring Tour of Homes on Wednesday, March 31, from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m.
The homes of Joe and Carol Gordy, Phillipa Hamilton, Jerry and Naomi Kelly, and Richard and Carol Miller, all located on historic Belleville Avenue, will be featured in this year's event, as will Cornerstone Community Church (formerly the Universalist Church) and the Bank of Brewton will showcase its extensive collection of works by Alabama artists.
JDCC Foundation board member Rosemary Jernigan is chairing this event. "We appreciate the hospitality and generosity of the homeowners who are making this year's event possible," Jernigan said. "We also would like to thank our corporate sponsors and patrons for their support."
Corporate sponsors for Art and Architecture include BankTrust, Cedar Creek Land and Timber, T.R. Miller Mill Company, First Progressive Bank, and Natural Decorations, Inc. Patrons include Heffernan Holland Morgan Architecture, Suzanne Kirby and Mr. and Mrs. Earl Weaver.
Proceeds from the Tour of Homes support the JDCC Foundation's commitment to providing educational scholarships for future generations. Tickets are available in two levels.
Excursion tickets include tours of the featured homes, church and bank. In addition, the owners of Natural Decorations, Inc., makers of premiere floral decorations, will provide gifts for those who tour their facility. Lunch will be provided for holders of Excursion Tickets at the Country Club of Brewton. Tickets are $50 and are available at JDCC. For tickets or information, contact Ada Adams at 809-1550.
Tour tickets open the doors to the four featured homes, the church and bank. Tickets are $25 and are available at The Cracked Pot, The Treasure Chest, The Hourglass, Weavers and McMillan Wingate.
