Mr. Claudine Brooks, 94, died Tuesday, May 25, 2004 at a Crestview, Fla. nursing facility. He was a native of Conecuh County and had been a resident of Brewton for about 80 years. He was retired from T.R. Miller Mill Company. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Brewton, the Baraca Sunday school class and the Airstream Club of Pensacola. He was preceded in death by his wife, Marie Brooks.
He is survived by a daughter, Claudette B. Stabler of Wing; three grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Friday, May 28, at 11 a.m. with Rev. John Finklea officiating. Burial followed at Union Cemetery with Craver's Funeral Home directing. Pallbearers were members of the Baraca Sunday school class, Tom Perry, John Martin, Fred Mitchell, Roderick Lynn, Danny Joyner and Bob Maxwell. The rest of the class will serve as honorary pallbearers.
