Mr. Clanie Cheatham, 90, died Tuesday, Sept. 28, 2004, in a local hospital. He was a native of Escambia and had lived in Pensacola for a number of years before returning to Brewton in 1998. He had been a baker with Smith's Bakery while in Pensacola. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge in Pensacola and of the Baptist Hill Missionary Baptist Church.
He is survived by two granddaughters and a number of nieces, nephews and cousins.
A memorial service was held Saturday, Oct. 2, at 2 p.m. at Craver's Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Willie Blackwell officiating and Craver's Funeral Home directing.
