Mr. Daniel Rigby Ellis, 49, of Simmons Street, died Saturday, Oct. 16, 2004, after a brief illness. He was a native and long-time resident of East Brewton before moving to Mobile where he was a railroad car inspector with CSX Rail Road. He was of the Catholic faith and a 1974 graduate of W.S. Neal High School.
He is survived by his mother, Elizabeth Ellis of East Brewton; two sons, Daniel R. Ellis Jr. and Kyle Ellis, both of Mobile; one daughter, Katie Ellis of Mobile; a brother, Bobby Ellis of East Brewton and three sisters, Betty Ann Fagundes of LaGrange, Ga., Deborah Kay Ellis of New Orleans, La., and Angela Ellis Moore of Pensacola, Fla.
Graveside funeral services were held Wednesday, Oct. 20, at 11 a.m. at Fort Crawford Cemetery with Father Adrian Cook officiating and Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home directing.
