Mr. James Harold "Buster" Halford Sr., 77, died Wednesday, Nov. 3, 2004, in a local hospital after an extended illness. He was a native and lifelong resident of Brewton. He was a member of Brewton First United Methodist Church, U.S. Army veteran and retired from Jefferson Smurfit Corp. with 25 years service.
He is survived by his wife, Belinda Patterson Halford of Brewton; a son, James Halford II of Brewton; three daughters, Pam Weaver of Brewton, Paula Gonzales of Spanish Fort and Belinda Harlow of Alabaster; nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Friday, Nov. 5, at 2 p.m. at Brewton First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Frank L. Scott and the Rev. Gary Daniel officiating. Burial followed at Fort Crawford Cemetery with Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home directing.
