Mrs. Ella Lee Bolton Ash, 98, died Saturday, Dec. 11, 2004, in an Atmore nursing facility. She was a native of Evergreen and a resident of Flomaton for the past 77 years. She was a homemaker and a member of First Baptist Church of Flomaton. She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter H. Ash Jr.
She is survived by a son, James Walter Ash of Uriah; a brother, John David Bolton of Birmingham; a sister, Carrie Lou Keebler of Montgomery; three grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
Funeral services were held Monday, Dec. 13 at 11 a.m. at Flomaton Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Jerry Keese and the Rev. Tim McKnight officiating. Burial followed at Flomaton Cemetery. Pallbearers were Daniel Moore, Jim McCutchin, Walter Dewitt, Dewey Bondurant, Roger Adkinson, Danny White and Steve Ross. Honorary pallbearers were H.D. Spilker, Marshall Lambeth, Sterlon Scott, Hoyt Bonds, Jerome Upton, A.N. Nolin, Duey Harwell, Leon Jackson and Herb Boutwell.
