Mrs. Eleanor Lynch Williams died Tuesday, Dec. 21, 2004 in Brewton. She was a native of Greenville, Penn., and resided in Eustis, Fla., for 43 years before moving to Pensacola and then to Brewton. She was a retired media specialist, held a degree from the University of Pittsburg, a master's degree from the University of Florida, and doctoral work at the University of Florida. She was a member and past librarian of the First Presbyterian Church in Eustis, a Delta Delta Delta sorority member at the University of Pittsburg, a past president of ADK Honorary Teachers Sorority, a past president of PEO, a member of Lake County Retired Educators Association, and Florida Retired Educators Association. She was preceded in death by her husband, William John "Jack" Williams Jr., and her parents, Mabel Iola Crummy Lynch and Herbert James Lynch.
She is survived by two sons, Douglas John Williams of Houston, Texas, and Bruce Lynch Williams of Gulf Port, Miss.; one daughter, Kim Williams Peterson of Brewton; a brother, Herbert James Lynch of San Francisco, Calif.; three sisters, Helen Lynch Rebel and Margaret Lynch Ditmar, both of Eustis, and Catherine Lynch Smith of Difance, Ohio; four grandchildren and other relatives and friends.
Arrangements are being made for a memorial service to be held in Eustis, Fla.
