Mr. Calvin Mayhew Booker Sr., 69, died Sunday, Jan. 3, 2005 at his residence in Wing. He was a native of Santa Rosa County, Fla., and a lifelong resident of Escambia County, Ala. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and retired from the Escambia County Road Department.
He is survived by his wife, Patsy Booker of Wing; a son, Calvin Mayhew Booker Jr. of Rock Creek; a daughter-in-law, Mary Booker of Rock Creek; three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Thursday, Jan. 13, at 2 p.m. at Rock Creek Apostolic Church with Bro. B.J. Owen officiating. Burial followed at the church cemetery with Craver's Funeral Home directing. Pallbearers were Jeff Booker, Shawn Lucas, Kevin Browder, Ken Jernigan, Buddy Dickey and James McCraney.
