Mrs. Margie Morgan Johns, 83, of Weaver Street, East Brewton, died Thursday, Jan. 13, 2005 at her residence after an extended illness. She was a native of Andalusia and a former resident of Prichard before moving to Brewton in 1966. She was a homemaker and a member of the Alco Baptist Church.
She is survived by her husband, William E. Johns of East Brewton; a son, Eddie Johns of Decatur, Ga.; two daughters, Cheryl Hyde of Chunchula, Ala., and Linda Young of East Brewton; two sisters, Mary Harris of Pace, Fla., and Sara Rostas of Mobile; seven grandchildren, Sabrina King, Christie Johnston, Ashley Fore, Brandy Johns, Tres Johns III, Daniel Young and Tyler Young and eight great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Saturday, Jan. 15, at 1 p.m. at Alco Baptist Baptist Church with the Rev. Joshua Pierce and Deacon James Young officiating. Burial followed at Fort Crawford Cemetery with Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home directing.
