Mrs. Ila Dee White, 91, died Monday, Feb. 14, 2005, in Century. She was a native of Bratt, Fla., and a resident of Century since 1963. She was a member of the Magnolia Springs Holiness Church and was preceded in death by her husband, Corbett White and a daughter and son-in-law, Lorelle and Clifford Van Rossum.
She is survived by her daughter, Margie (Harvey) Johnson of Century; two brothers, Harold Watts and T.J. Watts, both of Gadsden; five sisters, Evelyn Dawson and Allene Tubb, both of Gadsden, and Eudith Killam, Ruth Fore and Wynetta Boutwell, all of Flomaton; four grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren and 18 great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held today, Wednesday, Feb. 16, from 5 to 8 p.m. at Eastside Chapel Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, Feb. 17, at 11 a.m. at Eastside Chapel Funeral Home with the Rev. Shelton Kindig officiating. Burial will follow at Byrneville Cemetery with Eastside Chapel Funeral Home directing. Pallbearers will be Jason Hart, Jason Brown, Rodney Brown, Kevin Dixon, Jimmy Cash and Bennie Jernigan. Honorary pallbearers will be Leroy White, Lawson White and John White.
