Mrs. Ellajoy Thomas Blair, 72, died Wednesday, April 6, 2005, at a local hospital after an extended illness. She was a native and former resident of Columbia, Tenn., before moving to Escambia County in 1939. She was a homemaker and a member of the Brewton Church of Christ. She worked with the American Red Cross and had previously served on the Chairman Committee and Board of Directors in Brewton and Mobile. She was the Blood Chairman for Brewton, and had served as a Disaster Program Coordinator.
She is survived by her husband, Charlie Blair of East Brewton; two sons, David (Sharon) Blair of Brewton. and Bill (Marie) Blair of Gainsville, Va.; one daughter, Suzanne (Glen) Hall of Brewton; one sister, Linda (Colon) Ryals of Castleberry; five grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Funeral services were held Saturday, April 9, at 11 a.m. at Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home with Minister Randy Missildine and Minister Bryant Evans officiating. Burial followed at Weaver Cemetery on Appleton Road with Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home directing.
