Wow, what an accomplishment!

The Tri-County Industrial Development Board kicked off its official fundraising campaign with a huge announcement this past Tuesday.
The group, which had hoped to raise $1.5 million with which to operate for the first five years, has already raised $2.2 million, and they're got many potential investors on whom to call.
Monroeville's John Barnett, who is the organization's secretary-treasurer, told those gathered for Tuesday's celebration that their investments will pay off "many times over."
TCIDA plans to market the three-county area of Escambia, Conecuh and Monroe counties in an effort to promote economic development.
If their success in raising monies with which to fund this effort are any indication, there are great things ahead for our region. Never before have our communities come together in such a way. TCIDA's early success in bringing so many together and gaining private and public financial support from its investors, will send a strong message those who woul d consider locating in our region.
