Mrs. Jeannie Sparks, 46, died Sunday, June 19, 2005 in a Milton, Fla. hospital. She was a native of San Diego, Calif., and had been a resident of Brewton for the past five years, coming from Tallassee. She was a member of Tallassee United Methodist Church.
She is survived by her husband, Emmett Allen Sparks of Brewton; her mother, Azalee Harris of Jasper; two sons, Joshua Lee Garlen and Seth Adam Garlen, both of Athens; one sister, Judith Ann Ward of Gulf Shores; her grandmother, Linnie Bea Upton of Jasper, and a niece, Amanda Ward of Culman.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, June 21 at noon at the Chapel of Craver's Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society or the Lupus Foundation.
