Mr. Edward George Salter, 57, of Pennie Lane, died Friday, June 24, 2005, at a Mobile healthcare facility after an extended illness. He was a native of Germany and a resident of Brewton for the past 56 years. He was a retired service manager with Western Auto and was a member of North Brewton Baptist Church.
He is survived by his parents, Aaron and Elsie Salter of Brewton; his wife, Jeanie Pugh Salter of Brewton; two sons, Phillip (Tabitha) Day and Clint Salter, both of Brewton; three daughters, Angela (Danny) Salter, Jennifer Salter and Beverly Kay (Billy) Nowling, all of Brewton, and five grandchildren, Kelsey, Jessi, Hunter, Jina and Jaiden.
Funeral services were held Monday, June 27, at 2 p.m. at Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home with the Rev. Michael King officiating. Burial followed at Fort Crawford Cemetery with Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home directing.
