Cousins Madeline Frazier and Connor Rush recently competed with children across the state in the Emerald Mountain Equestrian Club Bryer Model Horse Show in Wetumpka.
Out of 23 classes, Madeline entered 10 classes placing from Grand Champion to sixth place in all 10 classes.
Connor entered 18 classes placing from Reserve Champion to sixth place in 17 classes.
Both have been collecting Bryer Model Horses for several years and enjoy collecting such classics as Roy Roger's Trigger, My Friend Flicka, Spirit and Pat Parelli's Casper.
However, their favorite is the famous Assateague Island wild pony Misty and her foal Stormy.
Their love for the horses intensified last summer when they traveled to Chincoteague, Va., to visit the Beebe Ranch where Misty lived and Stormy was born.
While there they also attended the famous Wild Pony Swim made popular with kids in the Misty of Chincoteague book series written by Marguerite Henry.
