Mr. John L. Dixon, 70, died Aug. 24, 2005. He was a native and life long resident of Brewton. He was an active member of Peace and Goodwill Missionary Church and was retired from Escambia County Road Department. He was preceded in death by his sister, Mary Wilfery.
He is survived by a niece, Shirly Godbolt and a number of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, Aug. 21, at 2 p.m. at Peace and Goodwill Missionary Baptist Church with pastor Willie F. Osby officiating. Burial followed at Springhill Cemetery with Christian Memorial Funeral Home of Atmore directing.
