Mr. Francis C. Hayes, 91, died Thursday, Oct. 13, 2005, at his residence in Brewton. He was a native of Chapman and had lived most of his life in the Brewton area. He was a veteran of World War II having served with the U.S. Army. He was the manager of Hainje's Furniture for a number of years and served on the Brewton City Water Board for 56 years. He was member of Brewton First United Methodist Church.
He is survived by a daughter, Martha (Wesley) Wood of Gulf Breeze, Fla.; two grandchildren, Hayes Wood of Salt Lake City, Utah and Jennifer Cue of Ewa Beach, Hawaii and two great grandchildren.
Graveside funeral services were held Saturday, Oct. 15, at 10 a.m. at Union Cemetery with Dr. Ed Glaize officiating and Craver's Funeral Home directing.
