Mr. Paul Lamar Dubose, 46, of the Damascus community, died Wednesday, Feb. 15, 2006, at his residence after a brief illness. He was a native and life long resident of Escambia County, Ala. He was of the Methodist faith and employed by International Paper Company. He was preceded in death by his father, George Eugene Dubose.
He is survived by his mother, Betty Jan Dubose of Damascus; his loving wife and ex-wife, Cathy Lindsey Dubose of Dayton, Texas; two daughters, Denise (Christopher Jon) Pharr of Baytown, Texas, and Madison Dubose of Pensacola, Fla.; three sisters, Lorette (Huey) King of Roberts, Diane (Curtis) Hardy of Munson, Fla., and Imogene (Jim) Brown of Brewton; one grandchild, Lindsey Pharr of Baytown; three nephews; four nieces and many friends and other relatives.
Funeral services will be held today, Sunday, Feb. 19, at 2 p.m. at Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home with Speaker Jim Brown and Speaker David Pugh officiating. Burial will follow at Damascus Cemetery at Douglas Chapel Church on Hwy 29, with Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home directing.
