Mrs. Deborah Harold Graves, 55, died Tuesday, March 28, 2006, at her residence on Lane Avenue after an extended illness. She was a native and lifelong resident of Brewton. She was a graduate of Auburn University, a member of Alpha Delta Kappa Sorority and retired second grade school teacher with 20 years of service. She was a member of St. Stephens Episcopal Church where she was the church organist for 18 years. She was preceded in death by her father, Earl Kenneth Harold, and her brother, Kenneth Emile Harold.
She is survived by her mother, Ethelene Baggett Harold of Brewton; two daughters, Leigh Graves (Lew) Najor of Brewton, and Jamye Graves (Josh) James of Montgomery; a sister-in-law, Gila Berrryhill Harold of Brewton, and three grandchildren, Alex Najor, Jake Najor and Kate Najor.
Funeral services were held Friday, March 31, at 10:30 a.m. at St. Stephens Episcopal Church with the Rev. Marshall P. Craver III and the Rev. Gary Lee Baldwin officiating. Burial followed at Pilgrims Rest Cemetery with Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home directing. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Wilmer Hall Childrens Home in Mobile or Joe Lee Griffin Hope Lodge in Birmingham.
