Veteran Alabama banker Clarence L. Turnipseed of Brewton was named the new president of the Alabama Bankers Association.
Today has been proclaimed &#8220Frank Cotten Day” in the city of Brewton in recognition of the former T.R. Miller High School football and basketball coach.
Dale T. Garner, city school superintendent, announced city school students will return to school Friday, Aug. 21, with the last day of school to be May 26.
