We at the American Red Cross offer our sincere apologies to any donors who were inconvenienced by our last minute cancellation of the previously scheduled Friday, July 14, blood drive at the Wal-Mart in Brewton. We were forced to move the drive date due to a last-minute technical issue, and we regret any problems this may have caused for those who planned to generously give the gift of life by donating blood last Friday.
In light of the tremendous response to the drive from the Brewton media and community, a new drive date has been set. The rescheduled drive will take place on Monday, July 17 at the same location in Brewton. The hours will change to 10 a.m. until 2 p.m., and we look forward to having a successful blood drive in the Brewton community during this period of emergency appeal.
Again, we take this business seriously, and we are thankful for all those who willingly provide the blood that saves the lives of neighbors, co-workers, family and friends. Please forgive the cancellation, and please join us on Monday, July 17 at the Wal-Mart in Brewton to give blood. Remember, when you give blood, you give the gift of life.
