The fourth annual Book Weekley Camp Compas Scramble golf tournament will be held at the Brewton Country Club on Friday and Saturday, Aug. 5 and 6.
An 8 a.m. registration time has been set for the event with a shot-gun start at tee-time on both days, said Toggy Pace, tournament director.
Tee-time has been set for 10 a.m. on Friday and Saturday with a dinner and auction to follow Saturday play.
Each day will see action in the form of a two-man scramble with club rules applying.
Cash prizes for first, second and third place teams will be awarded.
Team fees for the event is $300 which will include carts, greens fees, range balls, lunch, dinner, drinks and Calcutta. Mulligans may be purchased by each player at a cost of $20. Only one Mulligan per player, per day will be allowed.
Men will be shooting from the white tees with championships and first flights playing from blue tees.
All ties will be determined by using scores from the 18th hole, then back if necessar. the only exception will be in the chase of a championship team. In the case of a tie, a playoff will be held for the tournament event.
Door prizes will also be given away during the event.
All proceeds will benefit Camp Compass Academy, a program that offers an introduction to the outdoors for inner-city youth. Boys and girls growing up in an uban environment who might otherwise never come to know the joys of the world's quiet places are led by a group of dedicated teachers.
