Mrs. Genevieve Marie Fortin, 83, died Wednesday, Sept. 13, 2006, in a local hospital after an extended illness. She was a native of Calumet City, Ill., a former resident of Gilmer, Texas, before moving to Brewton. She was a retired PBX operator from the health care industry.
She is survived by two sons, Renaldo Dennis Jarecki and Terrence Gene Jarecki; a daughter, Luana Therese Lindop; six grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
Memorial services were held Friday, Sept. 15, at 1 p.m. at Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home with Father Adrian Cook officiating and Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home directing.
