Mr. Hunter Wiley Ash, 92, died Thursday, Sept. 28, 2006 in Fairhope. He was a lifetime resident of the Flomaton community and worked for L &N Railroad as a switchman. He attended the Jehovah's Witness Church with the Flomaton congregation. He was preceded in death by his wife, Nell C. Ash.
He is survived by his daughter, Martha (Tommy) Arrington of Flomaton; four grandchildren, Thomas L. (Belinda) Arrington of Flomaton, Jennifer (Benny) McCurdy of Orange Beach, Kelly Arrington of Birmingham and Mark Arrington of Navarre; five great grandchildren and one great, great grandchild.
Funeral services were held yesterday, Saturday, Sept. 30, at 1 p.m. at Flomaton Funeral Home Chapel with Elder Bobby Small officiating. Burial followed at Flomaton Cemetery with Flomaton Funeral Home directing. Pallbearers were Matt Arrington, Brett Deslonde, Vince Jones, Charlie Brown, Jacque Deslonde and Glen Miller. Honorary pallbearers were Ander Deslonde, Darrie Deslonde Jr., James Walter Ash, Richard Ash, Larry Jones and Mike Deslonde.
