The trip up or down Belleville Avenue is one step closer to being a smooth ride.
The Brewton City Council approved a paving bid submitted by Bullard Excavating of Andalusia. The bid of $201,115 will complete the paving and striping project planned for the area on Belleville Avenue from Sowell Street to Underwood Street.
A second bid for the project was submitted by APAC, also of Andalusia, in the amount of $201,770.
No time frame for the paving of Belleville Avenue was announced at the meeting.
However, Mayor Ted Jennings, said the two projects could be going on simultaneously.
