Ms. Nellie Faye Jackson, 82, died Tuesday, Dec. 12, 2006, at her Brewton residence. She was a native and life long resident of Brewton. She had worked as a secretary for the Escambia County School Board for a number of years. She was a member of the Catawba Springs Baptist Church and a member of one of the original families when Escambia County was founded. She was preceded in death by her parents, six brothers and six sisters.
Graveside services were held Saturday, Dec. 16, at 10 a.m. at Catawba Cemetery with the Rev. Bert Bounds officiating and Craver's Funeral Home directing. Pallbearers were her great-nephews, Johnny Dantzler, Jason Jackson, Shawn Jones, Eddie Thompson and David Ellis Jr.
