JDCC baseball to have Red/Blue scrimmage
The Jefferson Davis Community College Warhawks baseball team will have a Red/Blue intrasquad game Saturday at 12 noon.
JDCC will also have another intrasquad game for public viewing Tuesday. Tentative game time for that action is 1 p.m. although it could be pushed back to 1:30 p.m.
JDCC baseball signs first recruits for 2008
Jefferson Davis Community College Warhawks baseball coach Darrell Blevins picked up his first three signings for the 2008 season when he inked a trio from West Florida Technical School.
The Warhawks signed Shane Ikner, a 6-1, 185-pound righthanded pitcher.
Ikner is not the only West Florida Technical School pitcher JDCC signed. The Warhawks are also getting another righthander with 6-2, 220-pound Derek Lowery.
The other West Florida Technical School player headed to JDCC is Cody Sanderson, a 5-11, 175-pound infielder/outfielder.
