Mrs. Virginia Fountain, 59, died Saturday, Jan. 27, 2007. She was a 1966 graduate of Southern Normal School. She was preceded in death by her mother, Maldotha Spears Woods; a brother, Claude James Woods; and a sister, Ethel Jean Herbert.
She is survived by her husband of 32 years, Jessie Fountain; her father, John W. Woods Sr.; five brothers, John (Mary), Arthur Hotrod (Pearl), Edward (Marjorie) and Larry (Jennifer) Woods, all of Brewton and Steve (Denise) Woods of Montgomery; three sisters, Nellie, Carrie and Dianna Woods, all of Brewton; three goddaughters, Raven Woods, Sapphire Stallworth and Tyneshia Smith and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services were held Saturday, Feb. 3, at 11 a.m. at Greater Mt. Calvary Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. J.F. Atkins officiating. Burial followed at Second Bethlehem Church Cemetery with Presley-Fluker Funeral Home directing.
