Brewton Little League registration underway
Brewton Little League will continue its registration for the 2007 season Thursday from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the T.R. Miller Fieldhouse.
Players must bring birth certificates to verify age. All players must be age nine before May 1 and not turn age 13 before May 1, 2007 in order to be eligible. Players will be fitted for shirts and pants.
Tryouts will be Feb. 24 at the Brewton YMCA Sports Park for the age 9-10 division and Mar. 3 for the age 11-12 division. Both sessions will be from 9 a.m. to 12 noon.
Persons interested in coaching a team or assisting in coaching a team must fill out a Little League Volunteer Application form and present the application with a copy of their driver's license or some form of identification with a photo. The Brewton Little League Board will approve coaches based upon qualifications.

E. Brewton Baseball sets
dates for registration
Sign-ups for East Brewton Youth League Baseball will be Thursday from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the East Brewton City Hall courtroom.
Players age 5-12 are eligible to play. Sign-up cost is $25. Families with more than one player will receive a $5 discount for each additional child.

TRM places three, WSN puts two on girls All-Area
The T.R. Miller Lady Tigers had three representatives, while the W.S. Neal Lady Blue Eagles had two on the Class 4A Area 2
All-Tournament Team that was announced Saturday.
T.R. Miller was represented on the squad by senior Donya Grice and sophomores Kesha Peterson and Mynetra Boley. W.S. Neal's selections were sophomore Katie Elliott and senior Tiara Matthews.
Also named to the team were Hillcrest's Kiara Kyser and Kaylen Thomas and Andalusia's Blanche Alverson, Jereesa Curry and Anjelica White.
