Do you believe you make the best cake in town? If you do, you can prove it.
Relay For Life teams are busy coming up with unique ideas of how to make money for the American Cancer Society - and one group has come up with a sweet way.
The Jefferson Davis Community College Student Government Association's Relay For Life team is sponsoring a cake competition on March 30, 2007.
All entries are to be taken to the Alabama Technology Network Building, located on the campus, between 7:30 and 9 a.m. on that day.
Any cakes brought in after this time will be disqualified.
The judging will take place at 9 a.m., and winners will be announced at 10:30 a.m.
One does not have to be present to win.
All cakes shall become the sole property of the Student Government Association.
After the judging, all cakes will be re-distributed for a dollar a slice.
The deadline for registering your cake is March 26.
There is a registration fee of $10, and the prize for winning will be $100 and the recognition of owning the title of “Best Cake in Town” for one year. Cakes will be judged on originality, presentation and, of course, taste.
Call the college at 867-4832 for more information.
