Davidson retires from Liberty

After a career of over 31 years with Liberty National Life Insurance Company, Gerald Davidson, district manager of the Brewton office, retired on Dec. 1, 2006.
Davidson started in the Mobile office and was an agent for nine years and a sales manager for nine years before transferring to Brewton in 1993. He was promoted to district manager in 1993 to the Crestview Fort Walton, Fla. office, but after six months came back to Brewton as the district manager.
Since starting to work in 1975, Gerald has won numerous awards including Rookie Agent of the Year out of over 800 first year agents, led the entire company as a sales manager, has been a part of two districts that led the entire company, and has made the Council of Champions four times. The Council is the highest honor a district manager can achieve.
During Davidson's time with Liberty National, he and his wife, Sharon, were able to attend company conventions each year with fellow co-workers throughout the company. Some memorable trips were to Italy, Hawaii, Canada, Mexico, and several cruises to various locations.
Davidson recevived a Rolex watch after 30 years with Liberty National, and a company plaque upon retirement to commemorate his career.
