TRM, WSN softball draw Area first-round matchup
The T.R. Miller Lady Tigers and W.S. Neal Lady Blue Eagles have drawn a first-round matchup in Friday's Class 4A Area 2 Softball Tournament at Andalusia.
W.S. Neal and T.R. Miller will play at 2 p.m. The winner will play Andalusia, which has a first-round bye, in the game to follow. The elimination round followed by the championship series will also follow.
T.R. Miller swept both regular season meetings with the Lady Blue Eagles with a 14-4 victory at home and a 22-2 triumph at East Brewton.
The tournament was originally scheduled for Friday, then moved to Thursday and now has been moved back to Friday.

Football registration set
Registration for East Brewton Youth Football Cheerleaders will be May 7 at W.S. Neal Elementary School.
Player registration will also be held that day. Registration for the Tiny Mites, which is for players age five through eight, will be from 4 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. Registration for the Termites, which is for players age 9-10, is from 4:30 p.m. to 5 p.m. Registration for the Peewees, which is for players age 11-12, will be from 5 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. Players must bring a copy of their birth certificate.
The registration fee is $35, $30 for families with two children and $25 for families with three or more children.

TRM QB Club to meet Monday at Fieldhouse
The T.R. Miller Quarterback Club has scheduled its next meeting for Monday at 6 p.m. at the Fieldhouse.
