Mrs. Sharon Hearndon Smothers, 31, of Old Castleberry Road, died Friday, June 28, 2007, in a Mobile health care facility after a brief illness. She was a native of Monroe County, and a lifelong resident of Escambia County. She was a homemaker and a member of the Potter's House Apostolic Church. She was preceded in death by her grandmother, Ina Mock; and her great-grandmother, Clara Garrett.
She is survived by her husband, Ronnie Smothers of Brewton; her parents, Ralph and Rosie Hearndon of Brewton; a son, Logan Smothers of Brewton; a daughter, Taylor Smothers of Brewton; her grandfathers, Hoyt Mock of Brewton, and James Hearndon of Houston, Texas; and her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Elaine and Phillip Giffith of Columbia.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, July 3, at 2 p.m. at The Potter's House Apostolic Church with Brother Clyde Madden and Brother Wallace Reid officiating. Burial followed at Weaver Cemetery in the Appleton community with Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home directing.
