Mrs. Emma Jane Lawhorn Sellers, 71, died July 6, 2007, in Atlanta, Ga. She was a native of Fort Deposit and a resident of Brewton before moving to Atlanta. She was a member of Second Saint John Baptist Church and the Lily Chapter OES 592. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lemon T. Sellers.
She is survived by her children, Diana S. (Billy) Walker of Jonesboro, Ga., Henry L. (Clara) Sellers of Stockbridge, Ga., Glenda J. Sellers of Houston, Texas, and Lee Marke (Lisa) Sellers of Tyrone, Ga.; four grandchildren, Kimberly D. Sellers of Stockbridge, and Victoria A. Sellers, Trenton L. Sellers and Hunter M. Sellers, all of Tyrone; four sisters, Ruby Lee Goldsmith and Celia (A.C.) Haynes, both of Montgomery, Mary Alice (James) Lloyd of Brewton and Sarah Bessie (Raymond) Collins of Albion, Mich.; four brothers, Early Frank Lawhorn of Cincinnati, Ohio, Jesse Lawhorn of Minneapolis, Minn., Lee Ernest (Mary) Lawhorn of Camilla, Ga., and Bobby Ray (Sylvia) Lawhorn of Alpharetta, Ga.; a brother-in-law, Elliee (Faye) Sellers of Detroit, Mich.; three sisters-in-law, Bessie Sledge of Cincinnati, Ethel Mae Sellers of Birmingham and Charlene Sellers of Detroit and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services were held Saturday, July 14, at 11 a.m. at Second Saint Siloam Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. Willie J. Blue and the Rev. W.J. Dailey officiating. Burial followed at Baptist Hill Cemetery with Presley-Fluker Funeral Home directing.
