With a strong defensive showing, the East Brewton Pee Wees held the Crestview Bulldogs to just 12 yards offensively, securing their first win of the season with a 14-0 score.
Kardarius Jones and Tyler Joyner led the defensive assault with 17 of the 35 team’s total tackles with Kardarius and Travon Reed offering up three quarterback sacks, shutting the Bulldog’s offense down all four quarters.
Cam Blackman and Brandon Carmichael shut down any hope that Crestview had in the air with Cam picking off the Bulldog’s quarterback for a fifteen yard defensive return and Brandon breaking up two pass plays while nearly intercepting the ball.
Offensively, Travon Reed with 81 yards and a touchdown, Trevor Burns with 43 yards and a two point conversion, Cam Blackman with 27 yards, and Brandon Carmichael with 22 yards pounded the Bulldog’s defense with most of the Eagle’s 179 rushing yards.
The entire offensive line for the Eagles provided superior blocking for the rush, and supplied quarterback Cam Blackman the time needed to hook up with Josiah Nettles for 16 yards in the air, including a 4 yard touchdown pass late in the game, sealing the victory for East Brewton.
