Mr. James Robert “Rich” Lambeth, 83, died Sunday, Nov. 18, 2007 in Birmingham. He was a native of Akron, Ohio, a former resident of Century, Fla., and Mobile, and a resident of Flomaton for the past 19 years. He was a naval flight officer and veteran of World War II, and attended the Gospel Light Temple
He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Nell Lambeth of Flomaton; a son, Robert (Sharon) Lambeth of Flomaton; three daughters, Genie Lambeth of Birmingham, Frances (Doug) Benkelman of Dallas, Texas, and Janet Haveard of Hattisburg, Miss.; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, Nov. 21, at 2 p.m. at Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home with the Rev. Wallace Reid officiating. Burial will follow at Sardis Cemetery with Petty Eastside Chapel Funeral Home directing. Pallbearers will be Andew Lambeth, Jake Bondurant, Nick Ethridge, Kevin Havard, Joe Reid and B.J. Reid.
