Mr. George Robert Anthony, 70, died Friday, Dec. 14, 2007, at his East Brewton residence. He was a native of Evergreen, and had been a resident of the East Brewton area for the past 47 years. He had been a truck driver for T.J. Godwin Logging Company for a number of years.
He is survived by his wife, Patricia Anthony of East Brewton; two daughters, Rosemary (Christopher) Weaver of Panama City Beach, Fla., and Kathy (Terry) Lowndes of Milton, Fla.; a brother, William Anthony of Pensacola, Fla.; two sisters, Bonnie Hoomes of Pensacola, and Billie Jean Rooney of San Antonio, Texas; three grandchildren, Jason Weaver, Erin (Carl) Lambeth, and Lauren Van Hoosen; and two great-grandchildren, Austin Lambeth and Tucker Lambeth.
Funeral services were held Sunday, Dec. 16, 2007 at 2 p.m. at the chapel of Craver's Funeral Home with the Rev. Bama Jordan officiating. Burial followed at Fort Crawford Cemetery with Craver's Funeral Home directing.
